You guys need to stop whining about how spring sucks this year. I'm loving every moment of it because I hate the hot and humidity. Just be thankful we only have 2-3 months of summer every year. 

Soon it's not in fantasy land anymore. It's coming. Now we need this storm to trend 1000 miles east and we are in jackpot of 4 feet of snow. Storm of the century?

Only 5 more months before Fall arrives!!!  I love it when we have short summer and long cold winter. Best thing about living in the north!

The end of the GFS shows signs of Spring kicking in.  It will change in 6 hours but first time I have noticed it in a week or two of runs so probably a sign its coming (Mid April).  Certainly not overly cold before then but lots of "chilly" nights. 

 

 

Hate to break it with you but it's not happening anytime soon. NAO and AO is going negative, Greenland & Alaskan blocking is showing up and SSW is happening which means we will be seeing cold/snowy in April so we will have to wait a bit longer. 

Looks like no spring this year and maybe cool summer this year with 1 or 2 days of 90's, that's it! 

Trough after trough for next 2 weeks, just beautiful. Hope we get to see snow in April and May. 

Thank god we won't see 70's anytime soon until May.  Looking forward to cold next weekend. 

With everybody talking about DST, don't worry it's not going to happen. They tried it several times in the past and failed so I don't see it happening again this year.  During the summer time, it won't get dark until 10:30pm so how the heck are we going to watch fireworks when most of us go to bed at 11PM.

Stratospheric warming event could send a piece of the PV to us in 10-14 days. I still feel like I’m owed a big one. Today is the Storm of the Century anniversary, so don’t tell me it’s too late. 

With NAO going negative after March 23rd to April 10th, I would say there's a high chance we will be seeing PV in that tim frame. 

It's not spring yet, models are showing winter is making epic comeback on last week of March into early April for Midwest and NE. We will see at least 1 more snowstorm. 

WOW huge shift west

Need this storm to trend west about 75 miles more then Rochester will be in jackpot zone.

So roch is getting 8-12 inches of snow and no winter storm watch yet? what the hell is going on? 

Why are there no winter storm watch in monroe county? We are expected to get 6-12 inches of snow. Doesn't make any sense.
