That choke is one for the ages.  Maybe a top 10 worst choke ever.  Dayton given a 3 point when their foot was at least 25% on the line though.  A total failure there in officiating.

That choke reminded me of many a 76ers game over the past few years...

I lost that one but all others have been wins so far.  Rooting on Nevada right now.   By the way, Spring flowers popped up here yesterday.  Rude awakening for them last night though.

    Likely a rude-r awakening tonight.

Or more like a rude-r crusher.

Do they still sell the 5/$1 pretzels outside?   Probably not with covid regardless of price.

I didn't see the pretzel grocery carts for a few years until last season...regrettably, I did not check the 2023 pricing. When I was a kid I would beg whomever I was with for one of those cold, soggy delectable.

You are older, I just would not do it at a night game.    I was thinking it was a night game based on some of your other posts but see it is later afternoon.  That is not too bad if 40's but not 30's for me.    If I were playing a sport or otherwise moving, that would be different :-)

They timed it to perfectly coincide with rush hour traffic leaving Philly on I95. Adding 45,000 to the daily grind will be all kinds of fun!

I do not think I would go to a night game if the temps were in the 30's and 40's.  I am getting old.  LOL

    Pretty sure I'm a little older. :)

A 40 degree night at a Steelers game in early January is a godsend. A 45 degree afternoon in Philly should theoretically be better...right?

EC keeps hating on opening day...rain and snow.  My no shorts until April comment is still not looking too crazy.  GFS does have one day where it sneaks to 60 but no real warm days (highs) the rest of the month outside that one.   Even at home I am not wearing shorts if it is 54 and windy.

I was discouraged to see this today - the GFS cleared us out next Thursday and Friday and provided 2 opportunities to get Opening Day in. I honestly have zero concern for temps, I just want dry.

That is quite the difference from LNS where they had 6 readings 30 and over for sustained and a high gust of 47.    Still, like you said, it was not as bad there as MDT and CXY that were much more amped than LNS and the tropical storm period at HGR.  Not often I see consecutive tropical storm and over sustained readings up here.

Also, my winds today were not on the same level as some recent events. That I feel safe in saying.

I didn't even think to check LNS. Good to know. Subjectively, I would guess that my winds were much closer to Lancaster than MU's. Their readings seem...low.

  9. 40 here and breezy. It didn't seem as windy here as what a lot of you are reporting. My station can't capture accurate winds due to it's location, but at MU the highest recorded sustained wind off their 5 minute observations was once at 21 mph, and all other 5 minute readings were in the teens. Top gust was 43.

Oh wow, I dipped to 36.  It was 41 when I left the house at 6:15 though.

It was one of those nights - I watch my station like a hawk, and the temp held firm at 44 from 4pm until 9:30pm. After that, it bounced between 41 and 45 during the overnight hours. There were times when it rose or dropped a few degrees in a few minute's time. Never got below 41 here, however.

That was what I meant today when I commented Spring starting Feb 18th for areas to the east.    East of Harrisburg there has been little winter weather (although I think Chesco reported at least 1/3 and Philly has had some accums)  since then but West has been at least a C- or D+ type period from then until now.   Carlisle has had over 1", Blue Ridge Summit around 4", etc.

Spring certainly popped early. Winter now trying to crash true Spring's party.

My temp at 4pm was 43.4

    At 8pm it's 43.8

Like you said this morning, a mild night ahead.

I had time to look back at my loosely kept records which suggest I had snow on 5 days in Feb, so March has already eclipsed last month with 6 T or more snow totals.    My accums this month, about 1.5", pale in comparison to Feb though

I have had a T total since the middle of February. MAG mentioned February 17th earlier, that is the last time I had more than flurries. And that day was a .2" squall.
