  1. Picked up .15" of rain overnight. Total rainfall for Thursday - Friday was 1.04"
  2. Steve - so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. My heart goes out to you now.
  3. Raining again - going to end up right around 1" for the event.
  4. You're not kidding. That's one thing that stood out to me on my drive to work this morning - even though the rainfall amounts overnight weren't earth-shattering, there is water lying everywhere. There's no room for it to go right now.
  5. Flyers made their bed - they were firmly in control of their destiny and let it slip away. I'd like to see them beat the Devils tomorrow and then see how significant the final game becomes against your team.
  6. You were just a hair east last night and missed out on my training time - I had nearly an inch, my cousin in Washington Boro recorded 1.13".
  7. Time for some number updates: Rainfall since midnight: .31" Rainfall for this event: .87" Rainfall for April: 5.16" Rainfall 2024: 14.93"
  8. Heavy rain - approaching a quarter inch. If that cell NW of Baltimore hits here...going to end up over .5"
  9. Agree - probably the most knowledgeable, detailed color analyst today.
  10. Ohio has been racking up the colors this spring:
  11. Elliott getting about as excited for warm weather like most of us get excited for snow - he is rapid-firing on X this morning about how warm it will be next week...
  12. This year, it was roughly early January to mid-late February. By the end of February spring was arriving and even on cooler days the sun is higher and the house is warmer.
  13. I sure was - and his comments were not as inflammatory in those days as they would be today. Just the way it was. I often feel like announcers that are widely despised, I end up liking. For example, cocky or not, I'm a huge Joe Buck fan. Joe and Troy are my absolute favorites today. A lot of people can't stand Joe...I get it, I think he's top notch. I kind of like Romo...sometimes he forces moments that aren't there. In general, announcers are much more bland today than they were years ago. From Keith Jackson's "whoa Nellie" to Dick Enberg's "OH MY" - they were so distinctive in their style. Today, outside of a few...you could watch so many of them and there's nothing really that sets them apart.
  14. NBC aired AFC games every Sunday at 1pm back in the 70s. Some of favorite "first" TV announcers were Charlie Jones, Don Criqui and Jim Simpson. The Bills were often on my set during that time period. Amazing to think now how secondary the NFL was back then compared to MLB. Lots of teams had a hard time selling out games. Don't worry though - the Cowboys would come on CBS at 4pm. All NFL games were played at 1pm and 4pm on Sunday with one Monday night game that was on ABC at a ridiculous 9pm. I had to do some parent schmoozing to be able to watch an entire game on school nights.
  15. I use that feature during the 6 week non-AC period.
  16. 65/365 for me. I spend a lot in the summer but save in the winter.
  17. I must be a bad influence on my neighbors - when it was in the mid to upper 70s back in March my neighborhood was buzzing with AC units running.
  18. I was on vacation last week and had our guy out for the spring maintenance check! A little different experience...he asked me how many days my AC took a break over the winter.
  19. 61.1 was the lowest I got overnight. AC won't be off until Octo...Nove...December.
  20. For basically the past 25 years I would watch my horrible excuse of a baseball team give away game after game, year after year. There were times when I honestly thought that I would never see the Orioles turn the table in my lifetime. Selfishly...it's weirdly gratifying to see my team on the good end now. It's been a long, painful ride. Still no World Series appearance since I was 18.
  21. That's an alarming day 6 probability outlook. Geesh.
