Seems that the Euro and GFS are converging on this deal, maybe not the numbers tho'.... Anyone else see that?

Anyway to collapse that big ol' picture from the moderator....every time I read those replies, I gotta look at that picture of some country road in Savannah or Charleston...can I put a big ol' picture of my business as my 'signature' and get some free advertising? But seriously, can I collapse that...it's annoying

RAH now has my forecast high up to 89 degrees for Thursday. Not only would this shatter the daily record high, but also the highest temp EVER recorded for RDU for the entire month (84). If we broke the record high for the month by 5 degrees, this would have to be one of the most dramatic smashing of a monthly temp record ever for the site.
Also, with no mitigating factors for a record high temp event in central NC Thursday, another very important record may be in jeopardy: first 90 degree day. The earliest first 90 degree temp at RDU is March 12. This would shatter that record set in 1990.
Seriously impressive heat for mid-late February coming this week in a historic early season heat wave
This has been one of the most inactive winters for the Blue Ridge mountains that I've ever experienced. We have crops, plants, and bulbs emerging up here. It's crazy!

Moderate to heavy snow with the temp at 24 degrees. We have a heavy dusting.
Worst winter since I've been up here in the Blue Ridge, ever! And, all I can see on the forecast is cold rain.

Off topic…..Has anyone noticed the national decline of air quality since February 6th…wonder what’s going on. Why aren’t we hearing about this?
Lately having over 200 AQI, PM 2.5 near Garner, NC. The AQI across the nation has dramatically increased.- 1

The 1960 winter is what all my grandparents talked about when they were here and aunts and uncles talk about still to this day. Snow drifts 8 to 10 feet high. Roads impassable for weeks to months. It's the standard for WNC and it all fell within 5 or 6 weeks pretty much in February and March. There were a few big (18 inch type) storms, but mostly 8-12 inch type storms repeating every 5 to 10 days (3 Wednesdays in a row at one point). I think 4 or 5 were gulf lows and there were lots of clippers and NWFS too. I think Boone had 6 feet or more in 6 weeks.
Some pictures here https://www.citizen-times.com/picture-gallery/life/2019/12/16/historic-photos-1960-snowstorm-asheville-and-western-north-carolina/2665218001/
I grew up in the NC Piedmont...and my dad used to tell me about those 3 Wednesdays...back to back. However, I'm afraid we've screwed up our climate, but hopefully it's not too late, if we can make some major changes soon. If not, I fear the crazy stuff happening out in CA is just a tip of iceberg heading our way.

Anybody want to predict accumulations?

Looks like a cold snap heading towards us. We had some lightning up here Tuesday…according to my daughter. She was up near Elk Knob and said it was thundering.
Snow for the weekend? Feels like a little thump coming through.- 1

I vaguely remember back to back ice storms in January 2000 in GA when I was little. No clue what happened in NC or if they were actually back to back weekends or just really close together.

Steady strong winds and snow coming down solid, yet horizontally. 18 degrees and hard to tell exactly how much more fell overnight with the winds but looks like at least 2 more.

About 2” here just N of Boone. Falling fast, tiny wet flakes-like it’s ‘raining’ snow. Sitting at a balmy 17.
