LOL Sox behind the Orioles now.

Haven't seen too many bears over here, more moose sightings for me this spring and summer so far.

We live in DC Metro. When we vacation, we don't want to be near people.
Negative. Originally supposed to go Bennington -> Burlington -> Portland, ME, then home. We liked southern Vermont so much we decided to change everything and go back down after Burlington. Ended up in Wilmington and loved it. Just fish and lay by a lake. Amazed at the damage Hurricane Irene did...every restaurant in town had a picture of how bad they were flooded out during the event, there was a memorial to the fatality as well.
If you don't want to be around people why'd you plan to go to some of the biggest cities in the region?

LOL that bear is fat as hell.

Would've been 1969, when MWN had over 500", including 98" in the late Feb storm, the one that built pack at Pinkham to 164". Folks around there were wondering if the Mount Washington glacier was being born.
That would be so awesome to see again.

The noise is bad enough, but I can't imagine how much debris pollution is being spread around the country right now. My neighbors shot some up in 2020 and I spent 3 hours in my backyard picking up all of the parts so my chickens couldn't eat them. I wish NH would ban them again.
Boom boom chicken tho...
Sorry.

Has definitely been more of what I expected for NNE summer so far than the last two. Hopefully a sign that a more normal winter is coming.

Lightning off to the NW. Think it will miss here.

Really nice day today.
Firepit going and still some light at nearly 9 PM.
NNE life.

No matter how many warnings are put out, there will always be people who disregard them and overestimate their own abilities. It's natural selection at work.

Something else I’ve noticed is the absolute prolific spread of poison ivy in SNE in places where it never was.Nope.

I took Zyrtec every day religiously for years but I switched last year to Flonase and have less of a fatigued and wired feeling.

Same with me. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to in the past few years who say they’ve never had allergies and now do.
but yeah, I get the weird tired unfocused feeling and just want to sleep. Comes and goes I’ll have it for a day or two gets better and then comes back with the next wave of allergens. The earth may be trying to get rid of us.

Mostly been at the beach. Hitting NH for shorter trips this summer. Will be back in usual mode by sep. wife needed beach time after enduring too many chilly wet cutters past winter.

It's beginning to look like the summer of 92 if I were to pick an analog. Many nights in the 40's. That was following the eruption of Pinatubo. I wonder if this has anything to do with Tongas explosion. The explosion was nuts but I don't think it spewed anywhere near the same amount of ash into the global atmosphere so I doubt it. Just speculation. But man just silly weather next 2 days. Btv afd mentions possible snow on the peaks.
How was the following winter?

Yellow snow.

Pretty nice mountain spring day out there. Lots of bugs tho.

Humid tonight. Glad I have AC now.

Yep, and still time for a WC run. Been the first season in a long time I am actually watching the Orioles. They are not there yet but they play hard and look like they are having fun out there which makes a big difference for watchability; it’s easy to root for these kids. Better than watching used up sluggers strike out and sulk back to the dugout.
