As a Frederick denizen, it's amazing what a difference 50 miles has made this summer. I got a co-worker near Upper Marlboro that sends me pictures of mushrooms in his yard, and I send him pictures of my brown yard.

Waiting to see my first tumble weed here in Ballenger Creek...

Are there any spots still available in the Panic Room? I'm asking for a friend.

Just emptied the CoCoRaHS rain gauge on my deck here in Ballenger Creek (Frederick, MD). 4.05" since midnight. My Acurite Atlas rain gauge came up with 3.89" so far.

Didn't really see them, but one shook the house. Guessing a positive strike.

Disappointed here in Frederick given the hype.

Wow! I'm in the Ballenger Creek area, just passed 5". More than 4" of that fell between 5:45 and 7:30 this morning.

I got a mix of pea to marble sized hail just a little east of you. Made quite a racket with the wind blowing it into windows on west side of house. Got 0.56" in 10 minutes with that storm.

Pretty good marble sized hail in the Ballenger Creek area of Frederick.

Well, nothing more than a sprinkle in Frederick so far, but wind is really picking up.

Snow has turned from all snow, to snow and sleet, to now just rain in Frederick. I'm sitting at 33....
