The line around Slippery Rock looks vicious, but looks like Allegheny largely misses the worst as they slide south east. Thats good to me, already lost power twice today with the, don't want to see damage or more rain at this point. We just don't need it.
Yep works for me. Rather not deal with the wind and possibly losing power. Severe weather doesn't excite me like snow.

No clearing here I doubt we get anything crazy.

Some decent lighting now around my house. Let's see how the atmosphere recovers after this rolls through.

Looks like Ohio is this spring's Tornado Alley.
I feel like we tend to get our worst severe weather when it's not forecasted, so maybe this will bust. Something to keep an eye on, however, as TimB noted it's been a decade since we've had a "Moderate" risk locally.
Just no hail and extreme wind damage and I'll be fine.

Lines of storms split and went right around central Allegheny County
Very weird microclimate we have.

Will we ever see this again in our lifetimes?

It may go down historically as the worst winter ever but parts of the Burgh did better than the reporting station.

Maybe a surprise tomorrow. I want a good freeze for a few days before spring just to kill some of these bugs. I'm seeing tons of bugs in my house already. It's too early to be seeing stink bugs and those annoying Japanese Beatles.
-
Listen I'm loving the weather but we need a good freeze before summer or else bugs are gonna be brutal.
-
We need honestly a late freeze to avoid the invasion of bugs.

I appreciate his insight but he's been off 2/3 storms. He had us barely getting anything yesterday and in January it was the opposite. I guess we shall see.

Looks like 3.7" officially.
Besides that super band they did a great job with the forecast. I don't fault them for the low call for those areas. It's extremely difficult to forecast that until basically nowcasting. I mean look out east where a band set up and dropped 5.2 in an hour. Models can't predict that.

3.3” officially at KPIT yesterday.
Official total and what many received are definitely different. Definitely got between 6 and 7 in the city.

Sheesh. Way more than I thought. Measured on top of my trash can lid and it's borderline 7. Side walk 4-5 since it didn't accumulate at first. A little over 6 in various spots on the grass. Definitely an overperformer. Let's keep the juju going and reel in next weekend too.

4.25 here. Still snowing lightly. Another small batch in central Allegheny County about to come through. Could put me to 5. This made up for last week and came while we were awake. Nice!
Tbh I thought this was coming later than this. Nice surprise.

Totals all the over the place

I'm a few miles north of downtown and I have little over 4 inches. Definitely a very localized event.

9.5” report from Hopedale, Ohio.
Sheesh. That's an overperformer. Modeling has zero chance of picking that up imo.

Really?? It was like a light show driving on 79 south. Wind was crazy too, I could feel it wanting to push my car.
