  1. 52.3 here. Radiators mounted. Temps will probably level off after midnight with the clouds approaching from the west and the return flow of milder air.
  2. Noticeable here in Enfield as well and we've had a ton of rain, certain maple trees have just turned straight brown and started dropping like a plop in the bowl.
  3. That is a pretty healthy looking cell near Walpole. Not bad for after 10:00 p.m in mid September.
  4. Another Fall foliage season is fast approaching. What effect will the record rainfall and warm September have on our color? Looking forward to the photos coming first from the mountains of NNE. Hopefully Mother Nature puts on a good show.
  5. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/new-england-digs-out/ To this day, the February 5 2001 storm still remains my favorite here in the valley. Even though I got a bit more snow in the 2011 blizzard- 25" in Ellington and 2013-24" in Enfield . Getting 23" inches of snow in about 11 hours in Springfield Mass with thundersnow when the forecast as the storm began was 6 -10. There is just something special about dramatically exceeding forecasted snowfall amounts on the day of the storm, especially in an area that tends to consistently underperform.
  6. Radar looks like northwest Litchfield county up into the Berks will be largely spared from the second wave of moisture.
  7. Good news. I'm ok with a more stable regime for a few weeks. October usually has some fun and games. Let the rivers / water tables recede and let some people recover. I like exciting weather like anyone ,but the human/ infrastructure toll has been sad to see.
  8. I agree. Living up here near the MA border and spending regular work time on the shore the dews have been just nasty near HVN. Like 86/77 type stuff and then I get home to like 93/ 69 and it feels better, lol. Even right now the dew is 62 here and 70 at HVN
  9. Some of those small towns on Route 1 from Port Fourchon north are gonna be in rough shape.
  10. This will be remembered as a wet and stormy summer with high humidity. Yes there were some high heat at times but that's not what stands out the most. If you ask most people's opinion of this summer, they'll probably would not give it a great rating, too much rain and cloudy days, major Holiday's ruined by bad weather and plenty of storm and flooding related issues. Our cane was a dud for the most part. We had an awesome severe storm here which was a definite bonus but I would personally prefer more classic summer sunshine as well.
  11. Pouring here again. I'm done with this crap.
