Rain picked back up here around 5-6pm?

Been just a persistent light rain, only 0.07” this evening but has felt Iike October with mid-40s and wet leaves type of evening.

I’m sooooo sick of this weather. Went into North Conway yesterday, and it was great to see the sun. We have been stuck in clouds and rain for days :(

Yeah I don’t know if tonight will radiate that well.  Over this way it’s like cold season precip of light showers in lake effect streamers off Ontario on broad SW flow.  For the first time radar looked more cold season.

Flakes can’t be that far off for the 1500ft and above zones… within a couple weeks?  Graupel first.

Yeah we’ve been getting some drizzle too. Makes me wonder if there will be a bit of white tomorrow on the peaks.

edit: looks like a bit of snow and freezing drizzle reported on MWN with 29F

    we 30s  getting there

Not out of the question to have a few spots
dip into the upper-30s across the northern Worcester Hills and the
eastern slopes of the Berkshires. Cold, but still 3-5 degrees too
    warm for a Frost Advisory.

P&C has 34 Tuesday. Had a touch of frost on the roof a couple of days ago, time to bring the plants in

Dendrite posted maps for the last 10 years or so a few pages back.  It has varied from year to year.

Definitely agree. Up here I’d say on average peak is around the first week of October but it does vary a lot - and the duration also varies quite a bit. Sometimes it seems to last forever and sometimes it seems like the next day is gone

How can you say it’s ugly when it hasn’t happened?  I’m confused.

I don’t think there’s any spin except it seems early to cancel the foliage season.  We are usually October 10-20 for peak up here so we’ll see.

Looks pretty normal here. Lots of change but still muted. The September misery mist can now end though

    I would cry.

Eh. I’ve pretty much given up on any significant gardening. Things that are not very hardy really struggle here. Without that, the occasional frost doesn’t really matter much, even in the middle of summer. The daytime is warm and awesome even after a very cool morning, so it’s a very enjoyable weather pattern. Unless you are looking to swim lol

Looks good Alex.  Have you ever had a July frost before?  I'm sure you are safe tonight

Not in July, August 17th is the earliest we’ve had, but I’ve been told by my landscaper that it’s happened. I definitely don’t see any risk tonight, it’s still 53 degrees, but tomorrow night could be a close call with the P&C at 41, depending on how well it radiates

  9. P&C has a low of 33 Sunday. If we get another freeze I’m going to blow a gasket. Half of my yard has been decimated by the late freezes this year, even plants that are generally quite hardy. A light frost is fine, we get those all the time, but a freeze after such warm days would be a pain
