Is this a storm that just misses like the GFS or you mean more of a benchmark runner?

Hmmm I've seen quite a few NWS AFD's mention they're blending their forecast with the GFS in favor, in the past. Not trying to start a silly argument here with you but you asked where are they getting rain in the forecast for the weekend? I said maybe the GFS considering the last 2 runs before the 12z today had rain here and congrats Buffalo

I remember. I was one of those that didn't listen to you and didn't believe you BUT I wasn't doing the roasting. That was from some pumped up weenies that couldn't hold back after days and days of the Euro showing the storm of the century there. I ended up with about 8-9" which was one of the highest in the state only because I lived in extreme NE NJ. There were a lot of pissed off general public people with the local mets after that one.

So apparently this tower was designed to bend over like that in high winds instead of completely falling over and causing more damage. This was said on-air last night by a certain local TV met.

Hope so. It has been all over the place with the weekend threat. Before it went coastal on us yesterday, it had multiple runs of congrats Chicago or Detroit. Before that it was congrats Omaha so it certainly has bounced around

The 00z and 06z GFS?.... 12z and 18z yesterday had a coastal for us. Last night moved back towards an inland runner up the heart of NY State

It was Pete B. on TV a couple of nights ago. Worst bust of my lifetime living in Northern NJ. Worse than 3/5/01. Euro still had me getting 24"-36" 18 hours out. Short-range models were backing off but everyone didn't believe it and went with the Euro. Once I saw the heavy bands set-up over Central Southern NE/Suffolk County, NY and not move west. I knew and just went to bed lol

Good enough for me and wouldn't you know it, a Cape jack this run. Although areas just north could do well on ratios. We wait until tomorrow night to really take any ratio above 10:1 seriously though

Seems to be a pretty good consensus for that right now. We'll see if the NAM corrects north a bit at 00z

Where does it have the "heaviest" banding set up? Does it match well with the BOX snow map?

Exactly. Not like there is a rain/mix line with this one that's cutting off at the river.

It really has for the last 3 days. A few of its long-range "cutters" went to almost a suppression look on the 00z run also. Very consistent with the very juicy storminess in the LR also. Hopefully it holds that look and we can snag just one good one. Going by how this winter has gone though I'll stick with no, for now

Yeah, I know they're not technically cutters, like I said before. What would these storms that we've been having all winter that redevelop be called/considered? A SWFE that track to the west of us?

I'm no Met obviously and my knowledge is like the Earth in the Universe compared to you but I just consider any low pressure center that goes to the west of NE into the Great Lakes and then Canada a cutter, even the ones that develop a secondary off the coast because by the time those have got going this winter, it was too late every time. The lack of blocking and super fast flow has ruined this month in term of a big coastal, among other parameters

18Z GFS still has the snow for Wed into Thurs. Then it's a 2018-2019 trademark massive cutter for the weekend. What exactly do we need for that threat not to cut?

I assume the 00z Euro was not like the 00z GFS for Wednesday into Thursday and had a cutter or sheared out mess for the following weekend?

I do agree that it's puzzling why they're singling him out if there is a more prominent on these other lists being that he is so loved and looked at as a great, generous man but the trafficking thing is not alleged. I mean, everything involving this is technically alleged until it plays out in the court of law but there were multiple agency's involved in this including the FBI and DHS who would be investigating the importing of these women via work visas that someone at CBP would of approved upon arrival into the US so I don;t think that there is any doubt that this is trafficking of some kind.

Anybody know what town MPM moved to and what his elevation is? I'm looking to move to one of the more weenie spots of Central Mass. Apparently this place where the dirty deeds were being was a complete dump and borderline inhabitable. It wasn't even slightly clean. I find it very interesting that Kraft says he "categorically did not do anything wrong" while the police say that they have video of the act being performed. Should be interesting!
