I ran the sprinkler yesterday evening. Maybe a tenth of an inch over the last 20 days.

Soon as my potato plants popped up the rain stopped. It's a swamp for 6 months of the year, now we drought.

Are you for real! Today was a yard workers dream. No nats in my face and temps I can only  dream of in the middle of summer!!

I agree. It was nice doing some fast pace hiking without sweating bullets and being attacked by plants, snakes and insects.

  3. I was just in my greenhouse checking on my tomato, pepper, and cannabis plants. I was surprised at how strong the wind is ripping. It must be the new leaves on the trees because it sounds almost sketchy windy.

  4. It's wild how we go from the same weather for 6 months straight (40's and low 50's) to basically summer, overnight. When I was a kid, 35 years ago we had four seasons. Now we have two. Fall and summer.

  5. I hiked up South Mountain yesterday. It was only 35 degrees at Annopoils Rocks with snow showers and wind. It's still deep winter above 1500'. No signs of spring above that.

  6. The sky looks like a June day with a cold ULL crossing the area. There's definitely going to be some interesting storm cells today. There's been a good amount of sun here all morning.

We're really wasting a good severe weather day. If we could even manage 2 to 3 hours of legit sun that line trying to form in West Virginia would be cooking.

I'm going for a 10 mile hike in Crownsville. We'll see what happens with the storms. I'll be out there in it. I'm sitting in my truck waiting for this batch of rain to pass. I don't want to get soaked to early. Radar looks pretty ominous to the sw, imo. My area has had 1.5-2" so far. It looks like another couple rounds building.

Uh oh more clouds may move in Monday lol.

These model runs are tough to look at.

Definitely gonna make sure I have enough beers and some liquor around. I dont drink much but if we have clouds building in tough for Monday, I'll drink myself right into a serious stupor, probably end up right in the ER, over a dumb cloudy eclipse lmao. There's always Sydney in 2028 but that trip is gonna be pricey pricey pricey pricey.

A cloudy eclipse sounds super lame lol. It's all cloudy and rainy, then suddenly it gets dark. I'd just think I was about to get clobbered with a heavy downpour lol

The modeling is pretty much unanimous on us being wedged. Even NoVA doesn't look like it escapes the wedge for the most part. Will be keeping an eye on the elevated threat I guess!

Booo... I thought you meant we were all getting wedges, like EF5 lol

    0.14

    Monthly total 1.84

Exactly 3.50 since the end of January.... Should start seeing abornomaly dry showing up on the drought monitor soon along the 81 corridor... Hate the word fire but now there is a elevated wildfire risk out here again this evening - NWS statement...

Tropical rainforest here. I guess we'll be smelling the wildfires burning out in the high desert in a couple weeks.

Cold low of 29 and high of 49

our -10 to -15 now come from Mid March thru April

It's basically the same weather for 6 months of the year. Flash Flood watch posted for my area. Perfect track rain storm lol

Low of 29. No frost because its so dry

It's been super low humidity. My plants are in the last 2 weeks of flower in my greenhouse. I haven't had to use my dehumidifier hardly at all for the second half of flower. If anything, it's been to low. The humidity yesterday got down to 10% in the greenhouse. I put bowls of water in there and it's been up around 30%. The plants are beautiful and 100% mold free lol

All the rain is moving away. Rain hates Austin like ebola. We will get used to it, because La Nina will not spare. It probably won't rain again til 2036. Goodbye most plants. Goodbye most of us too. Been really nice knowing you all.

Dude. Save every penny you can so you can travel to Mammoth and run around digging tunnels and smoking weed in 8 feet of snow.

(Getting off-topic here, mods please move this to banter if appropriate…)

Here’s the the operative question: do you ski at all - and by “ski” in this case, I mean downhill as opposed to x-country? Have you ever been skiing? If you haven’t, and I get the feeling that’s the case, then I think many members of this forum, including me, would be happy to give advice on the best approach to getting started. Skiers tend to be evangelists for the sport, and the thing we most want to avoid is for first-timers to have a bad first day and get turned off, which can easily happen. Having a fun first day, even if you’re falling all over the place, is the key.

I went to the top of Whiteface Mountain NY, the first time I went skiing. I almost died in the -12 degree temp and -46 degree windchill, and whiteout conditions. I had a bad time and loved it. Ski patrol and my parents weren't so happy lol. I was probably 13.
