    General Severe Weather

Here's how it looked in Pikeville earlier as the severe thunderstorm moved into Wilson County. This storm was tornado warned when it was in Johnston County.
  13. A friend in Chatham reports half a dozen uprooted trees in his yard, and another dozen large branches on the ground. On generator; eversource isn't saying when they think power will be back.

It looks like after a couple of "cooler" days we start to warm back up into the upper 80's and lower 90's late week and thru the weekend continuing into next week.

Coming soon: NAO- anyone? After being in a positive phase from late november to early march, the NAO has finally turned to negative.

55 pics from my dad. Minor shingle damage. Tree on house behind us though. Fence is gone and blown over. The side streets behind me have more trees, they are in worse shape.

Disappointed with only 0.30 inches of rain. However, the refreshing cool breeze makes me forget how dry it is.

You just wait. Those of us in these micro-drought areas will get under a rain band from a tropical storm where it will rain for hours upon hours upon hours. Then we all can enjoy mosquitos and mojitos!

My big takeaway was that I am nowhere near ready for a British Isles trip. So much chipping and pitching. I have the chips, but between that and a full wedge I'm a hot mess. I think my swing overall is too long, and so it's hard to hit a half wedge. But my nightmare is a 50 yard pitch.
