Meteorological winter starts tomorrow so I think it’s time to start this thread. We have a storm threat for Tuesday that looks like rain/slop for I-95 but N&W areas could see something plowable. Some fantasy range threats on the GFS/Euro too that can hopefully become something as we get closer. Let’s get this party started!

lots of ways this can go wrong… but it’s looking right now like 1-3” region wide with the potential for maybe more or nothing. With the event 36 hours out, I think it’s safe now to say there will be an event though. Final amounts tbd. I’m trying to manifest 3.6” though to get to 30” on the year.

I thought I would start a unique thread specific to the Philadelphia Mount Holly Zone for those of you that have any interest in this kind of long term climate data. That said I wanted to respect those of you who wish to avoid this kind of long term climate analysis which due to our limited years of data will often lead to debate you may wish to avoid!

If this kind of longer term Climate Data Analytics is not your cup of tea...please avoid this thread as many on both sides of the debate view this topic sort of like a religion!

But if you like so many folks on this forum seem to enjoy and learn from this kind of real world climate data and analytics please feel free to post here.

But please if you post here....be sure to come forward with your data to support your position as folks on this thread are more interested in facts over what you feel the climate might be perceived to be doing here in the Philadelphia / Mount Holly Zone !! Thanks to all of you!!!

Why the Super Bowl has no juice

Why am I not excited for this Super Bowl? Tired of seeing the Chiefs and Taylor Swift.. I like Patrick Mahomes and he's a great quarterback, but it has gotten old.

Then there's the Eagles. Hard to root for a team that is known more for the reputation of being the worst fans. I do like Saquon Barkley so maybe that will offset the fans a little bit.

I'm hoping for a well played game with no controversies and no injuries . If it ends in a tie, I would be elated. Oh yeah, and that the eagle fans behave themselves.

It now appears pretty certain that it will snow on Monday. So I don’t think a thread can curse us. The question is, how much? Some models, like the Canadian, keep the heavy snow to our south in Baltimore and DC. While the GFS has a MECS for all of us. It’ll be an interesting weekend of tracking, hopefully we can all get in on the fun with this one.
