Nam looks flatter

Only reason I'm not as enthused is that these sliders don't seem reach Baltimore north lately and I have no idea why. Something cuts of the moisture and I'd love to know what it is...so until one finally works here I find it hard to believe.

Mix line on the CC is creeping up to the 495 belt of the MV now. Rates and flake size still mostly blow here.

So, trying to remember if 40 mph winds were listed in the forecast for this afternoon.... 'cuz that be happening right now. Hit 39.4 around 2 pm, been S L O W L Y dropping since. Currently 38.0/30.2 with WNW wind 16 gusting 37 mph.

2.2 today 2.5 for the season. More importantly, to me anyway, 1 day and counting of snow cover, 50 more days to go to match last year. This isn't going anywhere for several days. It was also nice to not here anyone mention sun angle even though this was a daytime event.

Just noticed rain drops on the window. Freezing ran/sleet 30.7F in Lowell. Looks like we got between 1.5 and 2" before hte flip.

Visibility is dropping.....probably the last time I can say that today without it really being because it's getting dark.

Damn early sunsets....won't be able to judge intensity. On the upside, with the sun setting the snow might start sticking to the roads.

3:30 update from the Winter Wonderland aka Rainthuen....1.5 inches of snow and sleet. Awful flake size and light precip for the most part killed any chance for a better snowfall. Final total will depend on the always reliable "back end" snow ....

Still below freezing at WXW1, but up to 31.7° now. Here at WXW2 we’re on the fringes now with picturesque -SN at 23.0°.

This is the one, unless it’s the next one. Gonna need to rely on a Jan 30, 2010 situation. That system is way too far south rn.

This freezing rain is kind of pissing my off right now. Have to go outside and clean and the freezing rain will make it worse...not too mention it's probably better to wait for it to stop then clean but hockey is on at 7.

The temperature here finally went above freezing at 1235pm. Of note we still have ice up in the trees but the current temp is 34.6. Need to melt the ice on top of the coco bucket to get final rain amount. Lots of puddles around could see some slippery spots tonight.

At this point, just glad to see some kind, any kind, of precip come our way. Incredibly dry here.
