If this is 9 consecutive below average I wonder when last times we had 10 in December was and especially pre 12/15 .?
-
Storm dying out, probably end up with 6 inches. But 6 inches that came out of nowhere is fine with me.

-13F at 10pm. Teens all the way down to the south coast. Region-wide well-below normal night. Sorry for the cold spam, but it’s noteworthy for the time of year. -
Lots of time left

Ditto here. Snowing, nothing major, but snowing a bit. I can see the snowboard from the back window, guesstimate 0.5-0.7" has fallen since 7 pm clearing.

Yeah, not our storm in southside HR. Maybe a slushy half inch at best. Definitely a dusting. It was nice to sit by the Christmas Tree and watch it come down. Hopefully we'll get a legit storm down here at some point this winter. -
It was steady for a while down here, hanging around 19⁰, skies cleared, now its off to the races... 13.3⁰ currently

Looking at the 3km NAM tonight, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see thunder snow in that band on Wednesday evening. Looks stout at the very least. -
Well done, these are great

Still snowing. Looks close to 0.5” here. Great comeback from where we were at about 5:00. Beautiful out, just took a walk enjoying the cold, snow and Christmas lights around the neighborhood. Roads icing up, going to be terrible in morning. Like I said, still snowing at the moment and looks like continuing light snow for a while -
The good news is its only dec08

Radiational cooling or not, it has been a bit since we’ve seen these type of departures sustained over a couple weeks. At any time of year. The low level air masses have been legit. Today was pretty brutal cold at the mountain, sub zero with strong wind. -
It is also somehow still snowing here. So far all I can say about the character of this winter is that it just never wants to stop snowing.
