  1. Past hour
  2. During my hike it was super similar to tropical storm feel (part of which I’m sure is the orthographic lift and being in the clouds) but you could tell the atmosphere is saturated and the rainfall rates are maximized
  3. So for the metros should we expect anything much overnight or is this last batch moving out pretty much it?
  4. I was there in Oct for a music festival and it was 100. Miserable
  5. I will admit that I don't trust it, but there was a pretty clear signal in the 12Z CAMs for heavy rain to break out on the east side of DC and over to the Eastern Shore during the mid evening hours.
  6. Yeah seems hard to believe it's been that long when you think about it. Since Jan 2024 there's seemingly been this invisible barrier preventing me from breaking 2" of rain during an event. I got close a couple of times with a couple of 1.8"+ events. I got 1.97" from Debby last year. But finally today the two-inch mark has been fully eclipsed.
  7. about the same here milford de only has 0.05 (via DEOS)
  8. Where was this radar in January or February with all of the cold air masses that we had back then?
  9. 1.03 inches of drought busting rain in Marysville today so far. Good for the lawn, but terrible for Softball field conditions in the region.
  10. Dollins Creek , off of Burches creek rd... Apparently a 12 year old unfortunately is missing in floodwaters along the eastern foot of Afton... This rain has been and is incredibly intense down here in Albemarle so far this evening... Alot of lightning but just gentle rolling thunder...
  11. When I lived there (Austin) were definitely a couple impressive storms and a few tornado warnings. This time of year in May is their active season often with a lot of rain, the truly intense heat didn't get underway until July the two summers I was there (which were true hell). I lived there in May 2015 when there was over 20" of rain just that month and heavy rain almost every day. Catastrophic flooding in some places near me. But then in June it dried up and essentially no rain again until Sept 2015, and Oct 2015 was another deluge month.
  12. Ok. But you'll have to give it back to me next month.
  13. For the higher terrain this sort of reminds me of June 2006 in my area.
  14. We should trade profile photos.
  15. This is getting ridiculous. Six put of seven weekends either tainted or washed out Sent from my SM-S921U using Tapatalk
  16. Just looked at all the Mesonet stations east of the bay- Only Stevensville has a somewhat respectable rain total- 0.41". Everywhere else is a quarter inch or less. A tenth here. Not confident in the overnight, but the forecast is still for a half to three quarters. I would have downgraded it to a tenth or less except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Doesn't look like much chance of a more widespread steady rain for this area.
  17. Do you remember the hailstorms in summer 2011? In Western Nassau/eastern Queens they got rocked by baseball sized hail. I got quarter sized hail by my house by another cell that occurred a couple hours after the baseball sized hailstorm.
  18. Cool, good to know Sent from my SM-S921U using Tapatalk
  19. Pouring. Water running everywhere instantly.
