  1. Past hour
  2. Even under zero radar returns we’re still getting some and it has officially graduated to “mulch dusting” as well. .
  3. 33F, coating of slush on the deck, put some salt down. Wake County Schools down for a second day (what should have been their first... or even a 2 hour delay).
  4. Light snow here in Newton kind of a pixie dust look.
  5. And it’s on Christmas Eve Eve! Might break the Amwx
  6. Measured 4" in Blowing Rock when I left. Right at 3" here at the house in Foscoe. Just north of Boone around Todd seems to have been the sweet spot. Sent from my Pixel 10 Pro using Tapatalk
  7. Wth is wrong with you two??? A FOOT of ice???
  8. I picked up my dog from day care last week, usually when they open the door she runs to me, last week she got halfway to me and turned around and ran back inside when the arctic wind hit her in the face.
  9. Nice band going thru HR right now. Beautiful evening.
  10. Prob 1/2" here in Franklinton with flurries and still some periods of -sn
  11. Nice coating in Woodlawn/North Cove. Melted quickly though. Some flakes at my house too but its over now. 2 hr delay for schools because the roads are soaked and will be bad.
  12. At least the ensembles are still showing that better pattern toward Xmas. 18z today vs 24 hours ago Scandi ridging retrograding as we get closer has been a theme so far this month. Also hard to torch really hard across northern tier when you have a strongly -WPO like we’ve seen.
  13. That’s all I’ve ever wanted, a Christmas Eve storm right out of “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Snow starts around 3-4pm in the afternoon, rips fatties all night long and winds down Christmas morning just as I’m opening up what Santa left me. Sigh! I’m resigned to the fact it will probably never happen as long as I’m living in southeast PA. Hence my plans to retire to a colder climate.
  14. At UVA we’ve been in a nice band since 5:30 and added on maybe 1/2 an inch or more of fluffy snow to the 2 inches I measured at 4:30
  15. that's probably a hot take, but not a baseless one. glacier is super cool, and i'd take a messy 6" of snow, 0.5" frzr, 3" of sleet as a close second to a 12" snowstorm.
  16. A foot of ice is on my bucket list. I'd take a 12" ice storm over a 12" snow storm but that's just me
