Like the zero And .26" in quakertown No its far wetter here -
Yes, but we do need the rain, and many in NYC-SDF-OKC-HOU-MSY-JAX outlined zone are get it good, and will continue.
-
This is just leftover snow. You can hike all around and go wherever you want. The Toll Road was open but that’s it. There are no services at a closed ski area on leased state land. You can go wander around but if something happens you need to call 911, not the ski area. It’s considered backcountry. These are just folks who saw snow and were drawn to it.

49 degrees…on Memorial Day weekend with rain at 10:30 pm.… blows chow!

.6” on the day, solid steady rain most of the afternoon. Another round of steady rain moving in that should most of the night. Expecting to finish well over an inch. 24 hour wundermap precip reports(personal weather stations) sure not looking like a miss for most. Excited to see the cocorahs reports tomorrow morning. -
Were they charged? Or was it part of the hotel package?

Saw a couple families sledding today. Lugged the light plastic sleds up and were taking turns going sledding down the terrain park piles. Others just sliding around on their shoes. The remaining snow was an attraction for the holiday weekend.

Keep it like this

Monday doesn't look terrible

A rare miss too. MRX still has no tornado warnings this year. They should have had one here.

Garbage pattern over the next week as we'll get to have an Omega Block to close out the month. https://weather.com/2026/05/22/forecast/national/omega-block-pattern-flood-threat-temperature-flip 18z GFS: 12z Euro:

Oh I 100% agree with your post. The atmosphere is just not juicy enough and unstable to get some storms in the Triad/Triangle. Once this cooler air erodes and the warmer more unstable atmosphere can get going then for sure some will get some great storms and rainfall and others wont. Def not a widespread even rainfall.
-
Couldn't we get just ONE day this three day weekend that is sunny and warm all day? Ugly weather all weekend. yuck.
-
Pretty pathetic. 0.41"

Thank you Shell. What prompted my post was seeing our neighbors just last week talking of their own experience with PTSD. Ike and Harvey exposed my own battles. But knowledge and preparation eases the stress. -
My rain bucket only has a quarter of an inch in over the last two days. We need a lot more to bust this drought. A lot more showers in the forecast though.
-
In the last 2 days 3.08 inches. Event total 3.20. Its raining again now too.
-
I think more meaningful rainfall will have to wait until the wedge breaks down Tommorow morning. At least that's what the short range models are showing and I think the wedge is what killed the rain around here

Just over 3/4" now

Winter 25-26 (All Snowfall Maps & Season Total)
CT Valley Snowman replied to The 4 Seasons's topic in New England
I wasn't home enough to measure and report all events this season, but I'm pretty sure I was around or just over 50", maybe 51", which jives with the 50.3 just to my NW in MA. Solid season for sure, but to be this far north in CT and be at pretty much the state minimum is pretty unfortunate. -

Also 49 here, with just the most beautiful slow to steady soaking rain all day. Looks like some nice stuff building to the southwest too. I’ll get a measurement in the morning. Glorious.
