Thats how nina decembers go. Getting 0" is a la nina december is a great way to ensure getting a historically least snowy winter. This winter could be over by about the 15th if we dont have anything credible to track unfortunately
-
Whatever though at day 16.

I get the pessimistic sentiment. I feel it too. But the reality is we just don't know how things will play out. Some of our best snowstorms seemingly came out of nowhere. And the positive surprises are more fun than fretting for a week about a modeled blizzard that might disappear.

I'm loving this pattern. Been years it seems since we've seen clippers parading like this. Also, the Pac hybrids are nice as well if we can get more of them. Seems like there's a better chance for a widespread score compared to a big cutter with widespread p-type/dry slot concerns. -
It’s a cooler rain basically. Still blows.

I was referring to the path of the next clippers. Ground zero- my backyard -
Yeah once we ended up getting 0” that month after a great pattern, and January was warm and a shutout; I knew we were in for one of the least snow winters ever.

cutlew started following December 9th and 10th Clipper

Driving home leaving the U at that time, can confirm it was all snow. Windshield was fully coating in between wipes .

Thanks for correcting the rhetoric. -
They do... I remember that year well. I was out of Highschool and was REALLY hoping we had turned a corner with new decade of snow possibilities. When January '90 came along I knew the 80's were not dead. They would not die in Boston until '92/93.

I can almost see that ground right now. Crazy how quick she goes in upper 30s and clouds -
That’s CAD-city on that setup.

I expect consensus from the 0z's tonight that it will trend to a nothing burger. Central park could get just a T of snow for December if sunday doesn't materialize (we start torching around the 20th). That means go super low this winter (10"ish or less).

The cutter winding up at the end of the gfs run for Christmas would shut the ski resorts down for the holiday. Sad -
Yup I believe i pointed out 22-23 was a great analog

I think I like Sunday for a 1-3 type deal. Cold HP moving in from the NW and a decent shortwave that might dig a bit more. We shall see.
