Normally I'd like to see the 850 low a little further west to nail interior NJ. The fact this is bombing as it goes by will help offset that somewhat eastward displacement. 850 low as shown is text book material for NJ coast, up NE NJ, NYC and LI.

Ai EPS not looking good

Off to job number 2. Great day of tracking with yall. Lets see what those 0z's bring in.

One more H5 shift and it just might do it

If only it started tomorrow afternoon. Another harrowing day of model runs before the whole picture comes together

inverse of 2/12/14 when the GFS had a weak wave going wide right like a day before We rely too much on models we've had events like this. I'd like look back to the two March 1984 events. I wonder how much fell at DCA

Central PA Winter 25/26 Discussion and Obs

I'm not sure I totally buy that, as there isnt a huge H parked above us to suppress wester qpf expansion, and yeah its a wound up beast, but I'd think a little better western qpf is possible as we close in. I'd not think huge bump, but maybe a couple inches more than currently modeled. also looks like norlun feature is not as big a deal, and its just more of a classic shellackin. -
I love this map. And an extra 30 mile shift NW will be house money
-
Lets see if the GEFS is even more tucked.
-
WTF. I looked at h5 before looking at the surface and I thought it was going to bring the good bands from the coastal west to atleast Frederick. Really disappointing the surface actually got worse..
