  1. Past hour
  2. Saw a couple families sledding today. Lugged the light plastic sleds up and were taking turns going sledding down the terrain park piles. Others just sliding around on their shoes. The remaining snow was an attraction for the holiday weekend.
  3. Monday doesn't look terrible
  4. Today
  5. A rare miss too. MRX still has no tornado warnings this year. They should have had one here.
  6. Garbage pattern over the next week as we'll get to have an Omega Block to close out the month. https://weather.com/2026/05/22/forecast/national/omega-block-pattern-flood-threat-temperature-flip 18z GFS: 12z Euro:
  7. Oh I 100% agree with your post. The atmosphere is just not juicy enough and unstable to get some storms in the Triad/Triangle. Once this cooler air erodes and the warmer more unstable atmosphere can get going then for sure some will get some great storms and rainfall and others wont. Def not a widespread even rainfall.
  8. Couldn't we get just ONE day this three day weekend that is sunny and warm all day? Ugly weather all weekend. yuck.
  9. Pretty pathetic. 0.41"
  10. Thank you Shell. What prompted my post was seeing our neighbors just last week talking of their own experience with PTSD. Ike and Harvey exposed my own battles. But knowledge and preparation eases the stress.
  11. My rain bucket only has a quarter of an inch in over the last two days. We need a lot more to bust this drought. A lot more showers in the forecast though.
  12. In the last 2 days 3.08 inches. Event total 3.20. Its raining again now too.
  13. I think more meaningful rainfall will have to wait until the wedge breaks down Tommorow morning. At least that's what the short range models are showing and I think the wedge is what killed the rain around here
  14. 49 here in Lanco. Doesn’t feel like Memorial Day weekend. More like early to mid March. .
  15. This is not SW CT…I know you know that. Just rain. Rain. Rain!!! You tried…but it’s rained all day
  16. I wasn't home enough to measure and report all events this season, but I'm pretty sure I was around or just over 50", maybe 51", which jives with the 50.3 just to my NW in MA. Solid season for sure, but to be this far north in CT and be at pretty much the state minimum is pretty unfortunate.
  17. Also 49 here, with just the most beautiful slow to steady soaking rain all day. Looks like some nice stuff building to the southwest too. I’ll get a measurement in the morning. Glorious.
  18. Idc how anybody spins it but this was horrible weather to kick off the holiday weekend, and I was dry all day. Being stuck in the mid-upper 50’s with overcast all day is not exactly “let’s go out” weather. And I was dry all day. Tomorrow is worse
  19. Maybe I‘m forgetting, but I don’t recall seeing even a drop of rain here since at least May 13th that is until just now. I finally got a few drops (a T) a little while ago and radar suggests I could get some more. But prospects aren’t great for much more this evening. Regardless, things are looking up for the next couple of days and much of the week to come with an overall wet pattern. I’m at only ~1.5” MTD. Thus, I had recently resumed watering regularly.
  20. Maybe we will see thunderstorms anyways in the upcoming days, seems like we fixing to see a ERW along with maybe a CCKW,in which the Rossby wave will kick off the strong WWB EAST of the IDL, This would kick off a more monsoonal flow and put us in a wet unstable pattern in a few days more or less.Least we should see some much needed rains here
  21. 0.49” 7am-7pm 5/23. 3.53” for event since 5/20.
  22. Just a guess but I'd say you make up for it.
  23. Stuck in the wedge here in Lake Norman. Misting rain off and on, fog, and 60 degrees on Memorial Day weekend. Was hoping for some good thunderstorms, but the atmosphere is too stable.
