Drive by some homes that don’t prune their bushes and look at ones that do . It’s amazing the difference in terms of aesthetics and perception
-
Anyone that cares about how their landscape looks . If you don’t keep up with it this time of summer , it over grows very quickly .

You wonder if many even measure?

100%! I got so fed up with my monthly bill ageraging $230, I gave in, cut some trees and went with solar. If you do go with solar, but it outright, and oversize it. It will take 6 years to pay for itself. I have a 7 pitch rear roof (30º) that's 10 degrees west of due south, so almost ideal, but I still have neighbors trees that affect my production, especially in October. Since my installation, my meter has been on the positive side of 0 for a few months, but I'm currently at 99,335, and I'm at $295 in credit according to my last bill. If I can accurately calculate how much to use for heat, I shouldn't have another electric bill for as long as I live here.

Hose job in progress here...knew my luck would run out

7:15pm — Blossoming cell locally seems to have eyes on Columbia. Light, steady rain began 15 mins ago. Much better coverage to my SW

Installing AC units is a PITA. Have you thought about a mini-split? I installed one for heat because my solar panels are overproducing, but it is so much better than window units and wasn't too difficult to install. I went with a Mr. Cool.

Nah I'm just shooting the shit, not trying to argue. lol

That’s a fair rebuttal ☺️

It should become drier.

Not "uneventful" but maybe to your wishes. I don't disagree btw! Some of these weirdos want that year round, "neversun". I think there's a song from like Norway that says that lol
-
I hope nobody takes this the wrong way but if climate change has resulted in uneventful weather around here that may be the biggest tragedy here so far
-
It was as glorious day and hopefully late next week at least flattens a few forests.

Yeah looks like shit, enjoy the 60's/70's forever until the winter hits and it's 50's/60's.

97/64 with 1200 dcape 18z with front pushing in even if you take 75% of that it's worth considering

We have been getting pummeled with rain today. 3.5 inches in the gauge and and its still shaking out sheets of rain. Training off of the N Indy to the dreaded Carmel area urban heat island off to the NNE all day. Line came through earlier and it dissipated except the train from N Indy to right over me. It just won't stop. Like the Pacers

hopefully that sustained period of warmth will also be dry and not include any rainfall, Don.

Who does weekly shrub pruning? wtf.

Look at these GIF loops from late this aftn. Classic supercell split mirror pair in n-cntrl MD. The left split accelerates and moves N, and the right split moves ESE and is slow-moving. In a more unidirectional environmental flow w/ wind shear, the supercell splits both have an equal chance of surviving. Most of the time tho when there is directional shear present, it is veering w/ height, so that favors the right mover (cyclonic meso), and the left mover (anticyclonic meso) does not last long. Supercells by default split, but often since the right split is so favored so often from the shear profile, the left split never has a chance and is wiped immediately, so you see nothing on radar! And when overall flow is weak/disorganized over an area, the mesoscale takes over, leading to some odd storm motions and evolutions, as we see today.
