  1. Past hour
  2. H7 fronto is fueling this banding in the WAA. Once the 850mb low begins closing off this afternoon, banding will shift closer to the surface low
  3. Watching the clouds race northward from Long Island, transporting those 50 degree water temps north. Still 28/21, off a low of 19.6...Ground is plenty cold, so whatever falls frozen to start should accumulate, just a matter of how quickly it changes over to just pure rain.
  4. Today really got to me . Tough to handle when it’ll be snowing heavily 10-20 miles away while I look at grass
  5. It ain't over til its over. Awesome seeing first legit coverage this morning. Sorry you should probably move inland to keep you from jumping off the Tobin.
  6. The new feeling ( well last 7ish years) is pain and cold rain. Just having something to keep an eye on is super nice. .
  7. e Its not surprising that EV use is progressing unevenly. Transition costs for charging and other infrastructure is high. Subsidization varies. The key for EVs is battery technology which is proceeding rapidly: different lithium chemistries, sodium, and solid state. These new technologies have: lower cost, better safety, faster charging, longer battery life etc. EVs are getting better and cheaper. Now that EVs are becoming as cheap as combustion cars subsidies are becoming less important. The genie is out of the bottle. With the withdrawal of policy suppport, the US will lag; but, global penetration will continue to ramp quickly. EVs are very attractive to countries that import oil.
  8. IP, 32F/DP 25F Couldn't even manage pity flakes. As Ji would say, this winter is turning into an unmitigated disaster!
  9. Yeah, I wasn’t letting today bother me, but I’d like to see something we can sink our teeth into on guidance and I’m not getting the warm and fuzzies
  10. Yep, area wide 6-8 inch storm would have been amazing. Maybe Friday can still work but it's super marginal.
  11. Didn't even realize it was snowing.....very light dusting from tiny flakes.
  12. 33 and rain. Yup. It's winter lol. At least it's actually raining and looks to continue all day. We need the rain. I canceled my catoctin hike this morning. Didn't look worth it.
  13. Sleet mixed with a few mangled snow flakes here in East Nantmeal in NW Chesco temp 30.8 DP 22.9. With our 2nd winter event of the 2025/26 season. Surfaces have a small snow/sleet cover.
  14. Hopefully something can break in SNE direction for once. Man have we had bad luck for weather the last 5 years . You figure at some point something good will happen. Certainly a depressing morning for me
  15. .69” last night. Yes need it but dude would have been nice if [emoji3587] .
  16. Saturday gone, Wednesday meh, what’s going on fellas…
  17. Sleet mixed with a few mangled snow flakes here in East Nantmeal in NW Chesco temp 30.8 DP 22.9. With our 2nd winter event of 2025/26. Surfaces have a small snow/sleet cover.
  18. Sure more cold around, but not much to show for it on last nights model runs. Either OTS underneath or keeps SNE right on the R/S edge. Not the greatest
  19. I created a Winter 25/26 general obs thread in case anyone sees some snow this AM @Knoxtron and @John1122 I'm staring at y'all with jealousy.
