  3. Going to clear out for tonight?? Anyone got a link to the real-time monitor, so I don’t have to guess?
  4. 5. Probably both nights. Gonna try tonight since it's getting some steam online. If I lived where you did I'd stick my head out soon regardless... you've got much less light to deal with then I do lol https://twitter.com/Vincent_Ledvina/status/1988397247898554680?s=20
  6. Tonight? I was thinking tomorrow night. eta: your post above answered my question.
  7. Nerds on Twitter saying faint reds down in NC mountains
  8. Trying to wait for my trade partner (girlfriend). Hoping to get out around 8 and gonna try Poolesville area since it’s farmland-y and hopefully I can have a decent view north.
  9. Haha well… we do have great prices this time of the year for any Southerner that wants to visit it’d be great for business to have a good winter. Skiing hasn’t been an issue but snowmobiling has been tough in the past few years
  10. Either way, not a bad start to the month - and the forecast has snow almost every day for the next 7 days
  11. Watching the weekend system, But that primary gets to far N before the secondary takes over right along the coast, Inland areas foothill north and west look primed though.
  12. Did you come through Crawford Notch? That is intense in the snow.
  13. Allan Huffman going with a cold January in the E US. I wonder if this is because of a prog for a very early SSWE followed by a lagged cold effect in Jan: I’d be more than happy with this. I’d love another cold Jan! Not having a warmer than normal La Niña winter in the majority of the SE including another cold Jan would be a victory!
  14. BZ says -50 on space weather?!? Is that right?
  15. Nice hit of les here in the Poconos at 2,075' today. I was at work, but checking my cameras it pretty much snowed all day. Got home around 630 pm, and found about 3" inches on the deck, 2" inches on the grass and just spotty accumulations on the road. Not bad for Nov 11th.
  16. I'll take a little excess hunga tonga water vapor if theres a huge ridge over the rockies and greenland and a 980 mb L tracking up the benchmark. Of course stuff like this doesn't happen nowadays
  17. You are on the cold and snow train for December? What’s expected??
  18. Classic upslope. Big fluffy flakes mixed with rimed graupel lol.
