About this blog

A deep upper level trough and an area of low pressure will move across the southern west coast tomorrow. This trough of low pressure is capable of producing light to heavy snow in Southern California, much of the Rockies, and upper plains. Temperature at 850mb will range between 1 degree and below 10 degrees which is below freezing. At the same time temperatures above the surface will also be below freezing, expect for temperatures in Southern California. These very cold temperatures will allow for water molecules to deposit into ice crystals. These ice crystals will fall as snow as it reaches the surface. Higher elevations will also allow for heavy mountainous snow to occur in the Southern Rockies.

Meanwhile, a large area of high pressure will continue to take up much of the Easter States, bringing clear to partly cloudy skies. Barometric pressure will remain high into tomorrow.
