Lots of data missing from the AMA VWP, but from what is available (4-11kft) it appears to be impressive in the low-levels. No surprise that there is two semi-discrete/discrete intense supercells right now given the thermodynamics and deep-layer shear in place... Going to move into an increasingly favorable environment across the TX PH... Appears that it may eventually morph into a southeastward propagating cluster/bow-echo though. Low-level moisture is still pretty lacking, so the tornado threat still is not that great despite the impressive 0-3KM directional shear.

Drove out to Shamrock with the girlfriend earlier this morning. Sat around in town till 3 PM until deciding it wasn't worth her having to use a sick day (night) over it. Back home now and nothing I've seen so far has changed my mind. Another potential decent chase event turned into garbage by a gulf coast MCS and other mitigating factors. Mind you if we had the conditions models were indicating yesterday we would have major tornadoes ongoing right now versus puny little dust whirls. Looks like we've transitioned over to a HP mode as well. Congrats to those who got the brief tornadoes today.
