downeastnc Posted April 10, 2016 Share Posted April 10, 2016 PGV made it to 30 but it didnt get to freezing till 6am and was ws back at 33 by 7:30, certainly not the 7-8 hr hard freeze with temps around 25-27 they had had, a few days ago. The wind stayed up till 2-3 am so that saved us I suspect...should be the last freeze of the year and maybe the last real chance of frost as well. superjames1992 Posted April 10, 2016 Share Posted April 10, 2016 Looks like it only got down to 29 here yesterday. Kind of disappointing. I thought we'd make mid-20s. It was sure cold yesterday, though. I was outside in Spencer, NC most of the day and it was freezing with temperatures around 50 and howling winds. A big ole 0.06" here overnight. Mid-April and I am still just shy of 7" for the year. Not a good way to go into summer. Hopefully, we will get some good rains before the heat begins.
