    It all comes down to your budget. If it is 20K you can have the best of the best. If it is $500-$1,000 you can get a lot of great shots in bright light but struggle in the mornings and evenings. With any modern camera you can get fantastic shots. In my experience, the hit rate goes up the more you spend.

    just missed out on the good stuff. not boxing day bad, still a good storm, but nothing prolific. I am thinking around a foot with just my eyeballs and a night of drifting, so take it with a grain of salt

    What an incredible experience. Lifetime highlight. I did screw up my timelapse though, so that was ruined, but i will never forget looking through binoculars during totality. Truly awe inspiring.

    alright, Long Lake here I come. Cayuga Lake is just too cloudy. Kinda stinks, i put a lot of work into scouting Cayuga and feel like I am winging this a bit now. I can't leave till kids are off to school tomorrow either, so if traffic is bad I will be in a bit of trouble time-wise
