On my way to run the first leg of a marathon relay in Raleigh. 7.3 miles. :) I don't much like getting up at 5:00 am, though. Anyway, happy November! Here's to a warm month that leads to a cold wmand snowy winter. :snowing:

That sounds cool! How many was in the relay?

I ran a half a few weeks back.

Thanks guys. We did it! At 41, I seem to be able to feel my knees a bit more than I used to. :) Strong, the relay teams are 4 members each. I think there were in the neighborhood of 3000 people for the relay, marathon, half, and 10k combined. We had a few raindrops hit us, but it wasn't bad!

It's been stormy in Italy a lot lately...

+++ ‪#‎bad‬ weather, catastrophic situation in ‪#‎Calabria‬: exceeded the 600 mm of rain. Maximum alert until tomorrow also in ‪#‎Sicily‬ ►►► http://goo.gl/Ak1bTL

That translates to 23.62"

A stormy Italy correlates to a snowy eastern U.S. Winter, research has shown. A positive SIS (Stormy Italy Snowstorm) index is always preferred!

Good luck sir. I used to do the bike leg on some team tri`s. Good times.

Nice!  My wife does Tri's every now and then.  I don't have a bike. :(  I need to go get one.  Anyway, it was a fun experience.

On another note, I hope Brick had a good time at the race.  What a race to see!  By far, the best of the year, and not just because Jeff Gordon won, clinching a birth in the championship race!

Whatever happened to the northward trend with the heaviest precip ? It looks like I-85 south and east ended up with the heaviest rain. The western part of my county got about an inch despite almost every map forecasting at least 3".  I ended up with only 2.6" even though most maps i saw showed 4-5" for my area.

The actual weather events are not beholden to computer-approximated output.  Nor are they beholden to forecasters' best guesses.  Sometimes the maps and forecasts are wrong.  It happens.

The race was awesome yesterday. Glad they got it in. I didn't think it was going to happen with the way it was raining yesterday morning, but they actually started on time. I was ticked off at WRAL because their met Aimee Wilmoth posted Saturday night on Facebook that the rain was coming late Sunday. Not sure what she was thinking about. My son loved it and wants to go back. Martinsville is a great track and has great seats no matter where you sit. We didn't get to walk on the track this time because they were drying it off until the start of the race. We'll have to do that next time. We were sitting in turn two, and my son and I were coming back from the restroom when Kenseth took out Logano right in front of us as we walked up the steps to our seats.

Thats a heck of an introduction to Nascar for you guys. There's some bad blood between Kenseth and Logano.
