Summer 2015 pattern discussion

I actually like where the pattern is heading.  The core of the heat is going to be WEST of us.  We look to keep the Easterly fetch of moisture around and even see a nice WEDGE showing up by the weekend.  I think the heat projections are over-done around our area right now.  JMO

Agree..... GFS has consistently modeled max temps too high all summer long. Something to watch as we head into Fall / Winter.

That's pretty amazing that it was warmer than 1980 and 2010... Atlanta was nowhere near as hot as those 2 summer, so I don't know what the deal with Charlotte is....

2010 and 2015 were basically the same here.  1980 wasn't nearly as warm here.

 

2010: Avg High Temps (3rd warmest).  Avg Temps (2nd warmest)

2015: Avg High Temps (2nd warmest).  Avg Temps (4th warmest)
