Perfect weather is just around the corner. Looks like a few days with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s.

Clearly a cool air mass is slowly oozing Southward.  Here in Michigan, there was a 1/2" of snow in the U.P. yesterday morning..temps as low 18 degrees this morning which gives one a good idea on just how cold this air mass is.  Hope you guys enjoy it. I am hoping to be down again on the mountain sometime in June.  Here is a pic from my neighbor from the mountain over the weekend.

We had fires going every night of our weekend stay at Sugar Mountain. Love the lodging rates off ski season! Thanks to those who replied regarding warm season kid friendly activities, about a year ago. We actually went skiing last winter, but also finally made it for a warm season visit. Weather was incredible, Rocky Mountain low temps and dewpoints, over Memorial Day weekend!

Grandfather Mountain was a hit. We visited the Blowing Rock the day prior, saving the best for last - Grandfather Mountain. The Blowing Rock is a neat quickie with toddlers. Grandfather Mountain is truely grand. Also visited Linville Gorge twice. Linville Falls is incredible. Wiseman's View is a rough gravel road but beyond worth it. There are no photos or words that can capture that view. Maybe the Cherokee language has the vocab, but English does not. Love the irony of such a rough road but an ADA accessible trail to Wiseman's View. North Carolina, you have a sense of humor!
