Personally I'm over 30 inches of snow now on the year, can't complain we didn't get hit by the big one. If anything I think it's impressive how I'm well above average snow wise with my highest event total being 5.2". I'm wondering if there has ever been a winter with above average snow and no storms >6 inches. This winter has been far from boring that's for sure even though we haven't seen even a MECS.

36.7" in Metuchen, which I'm certain is 3-4" greater than most people near me would have, since I have caught the exact end of every snowfall, which is not easy when so many were between 1 am and 6 am (I think many of you have seen my observations at all hours of the night, lol), and catching the end for many of these storms with changeovers leading to compaction or even the two very high ratio events, which saw compaction after the sun came out.  In several of these storms, the changeover to sleet/ZR led to close to a 1" compaction for a 4-5" event within an hour or two of the end of the snowfall.  Just trying to head off any questions about why my numbers might look at little high.

Just curious if anyone in Bucks County, near the Bristol side of the Burlington-Bristol bridge from Jersey, measured the snow/sleet total for Sunday's storm.  I'm in a bit of an argument with a guy (not from this board), who says there was zero snow/sleet accumulation in that area and I simply can't believe there wasn't at least an inch.  Most of the reports appear to be from at least several miles inland of there and they're all of 1.5" or more and reports from nearby Burlington County to the south (Mt. Holly had 1.4" and Florence had 1.0") and Philly to the SW (1.0") had at least an inch, so I think he's pulling my chain (he's a serial basher of the NWS and says the 1-3" NWS forecast for Bucks County busted badly at his house).  Thanks, in advance - figured I'd ask here, as this thread is pretty active.

Going to come down to the last flakes falling, the tie is rather incredible.

I'm rooting for both of you to go past 50" (because then I'll go past 40"  :snowing: ).

 

Assuming today and Thursday pan out the way I expect them to, I'll get to three feet of snow for the winter.  Not bad at all.

My coworker lives right there and said "they definitely got under an inch."

I was in Bristol Borough at 3:00pm SUN & there was less than a half inch at that time, that was after over an hour of sleet....

The blizzard and groundhog bust has been the 500 pound gorilla weighing down what is a great winter. Everything is riding on the Wed night storm.

 

No pressure now....
