  1. 1. Rain & Thunderstorms - like or dislike - which best describes you?

    • I would be fine if it hardly ever rained/stormed.

    • Rain/Storms disrupt my outdoor activities. I want enough rain to get by, but nothing more.

    • I fear droughts, and always want to have a surplus in the bucket and a plenty on the yard/garden.

    • Outside of flooding, I can't imagine it raining/storming too much for my liking.

    • More than anything, I just like active weather. Rain, storms, hail, wind, bring it on.

    • Just give me average rainfall and I'm good.

Geesh... This IS a board for Weather Fanatics.

Missed the options for... a Mini-Ice Age (next two years)...  A Snowicane, bowling ball sized hail, freezing rain coated

lightning bolts, tornadoes sucking up The Great Lakes, The Gulf of Mexico frozen over... Continents shifting 5,000 miles over night.

Stuff like that.

As long as nobody gets hurt!

Good thing you put your disclaimer!  Haha!

I am a wind junkie first and foremost, so whatever can bring me the wind wins......Hurricanes are intense the sound of 60-100 mph wind gust coming( keep in mind this is with the steady 30-50mph wind ) is something you will not ever forget...nor is the constant gunshot like snaps of trees breaking or the thumps in the earth as they hit the ground.

Basically any day like this which is Hurricane Irene

The next day sucks though no power and tons of stuff to pick up lol

I love the rain. I'll take a good low end severe summer t-storm or an all day steady rain. Doesn;t really matter. It's been awhile since I've had a nice all day steady rain...I mean all day, with little to no break. Mmmm that's nice. I love gray, rainy days.

Need another derecho like the June 2012 one minus not having power for a week.

I chose "More than anything, I just like active weather. Rain, storms, hail, wind, bring it on" .. Haven't had a true thunderstorm at all this year though, so I'm really itching for some good storms. Really short on rain this year too. Missed out on a lot of the last few rain events.

So, besides Brick, I wonder who else chose this option:

"Rain/Storms disrupt my outdoor activities. I want enough rain to get by, but nothing more. (2 votes [7.41%])"

Or, maybe Brick somehow figured out how to vote twice.  Since we didn't have to show an ID to vote, I guess it was possible...  :P

I did actually.  Even though this is a weather board, one thing that surprises me on here is how much folks like seeing it rain and storm (but particularly, just plain rain).  Those are outdoor activity disrupt-ors for me...but hey, we're all different, so it's cool.

I must be #3, then.  I like getting a good storm every so often, but I also like being able to go flying, ride the bike, etc.

I said enough to get by. I like to follow severe weather with storms and tornadoes, but I hate a plain rainy day. It's messy and depressing. I don't ever worry about a drought because eventually we always get enough rain to overvcome it.

I must say that I am shocked, Brick.  I thought I had you pegged for sure.

I care a lot about the appearance of the grounds around my house.  Lots of time and money go into the yard and landscaping.  Therefore, most any and all rain is quite beneficial and desirable, in my book.

Also, being a numbers guy, I enjoy comparing the totals from month to month and year to year.  Even though I have no control over the amounts, I feel like rain totals are part of some contest against my previous totals each month.

Well, if you're #3, then we still don't know who #1 is, since it's not Brick.
