Well, no Tiger this year at the Masters..................... I am sure it will be a great tournament though.

 

I started practicing some yesterday and am looking forward to some warmer weather (but I doubt it last very long, as it already looks to cool down by the weekend and into next week).

Tiger's done.  At one point, I thought he was a lock to break Nicklaus's record, but it aint gonna happen at this point.  His body's breaking down from all the juice.  Plus, everybody can hit the ball a hundred miles now.  Plus, the "Tiger Intimidation Factor" is gone.

 

He'll probably win a few more tournaments, maybe even a major or two, but he won't pass Jack.

Yep.  That began his demise for sure.  I think a big part of his success was not only that he was THAT good, but other people would literally choke because they knew they needed to be perfect...or near perfect.  Once his mental edge eroded, he became vulnerable, and people began to have confidence that they could beat him.  And now, just about everybody can hit the ball as far as he used to/can, robbing another advantage.

Times passes quickly.  Stallone came back to make "Balboa".  

He looked as good as ever!  

 

A few more years... the Tiger will roar again!

 

He just needs a break.

 

Haha!  I didn't think he looked all that good....compared to Rocky 4 anyway.  But for his age, he looked fantastic.  What's up with his face though?  It's all jacked up now.

+100! Tiger has nagging injuries now, his knee , ankle and back , I think? And he's no spring chicken anymore , him and I are the same age and golfing ability I believe!? :). That whole scandal thing and divorce , did in my opinion , as CR stated, started his downward spiral and it did show he was mortal. It put alot of golfers at ease and alot probably laughed at his situation. There's alot of good 20-30 year old young bucks out there on the tour who can hit it farther than Tiger and play just as good! I think it's better for golf to not have just one player dominate!

Yep. I played my first round since November, this past Saturday in the rain. Shot a solid 103. Had a crowd-pleasing 10 on a long par 5. OB, OB, fluff, on the green, 3 putt. Turrible. I could not make consistent, solid contact all day long. Plus, the course was pretty long. Mostly, I'm just out of sync.

He must not have looked at the 12z Euro, which showed no snow. Or maybe he did and he's got us with an April Fools. Or maybe the Euro showing no snow got us with an April Fools and the real run shows a massive snowstorm. Just so many possibilities!

Last I played was December. My only highlight was a legit eagle! No do overs , no winter rules! Crushed my drive , had about 220 to the hole. Flushed a 3 wood , when I got to the green, it was hole high and about 6 ft putt, drained it! That was mixed in with some snowmen on par 3s, and other assorted shenanigans ! I had quit keeping score by the 3rd hole, lol! This was on hole 9, I wrote that one down!

Nice! I've gotten one Eagle ever. Hit a great drive, nice 3 wood, and drained about a 10 foot rainbow for the legit eagle. That was about 7 years ago, I guess. I've probably only ever had about 5 eagle putts. I usually turn in a low, maybe mid 90s round. Usually have a few pars and bogeys. I don't mind some doubles, but the triples and higher are the killers. I had some snowmen the other day. The double par on that par 5 was just bad play on just about every shot. :arrowhead:

Congrats on that eagle though. Date that scorecard and retire the ball! :)

<Played golf in HS. Love the game. Play on WGT now. A little less expensive...

... no less frustrating.

BTW... Stallone was 61 when he did Balboa. Gives me some sorta hope...

Yeah, that's part of the reason I will never be any good....it's just too expensive. I've missed my opportunity to ever really be competitive, but it is fun AND frustrating nonetheless.

And yep, for 61, Sly is still looking good. I think The Big Crapper is going to be just fine. :). I just turned 39 again, and I'm restarting lifting. My buddy at work is launching 415 like it's pack of balloons and I'm struggling underneath 135. I got it 5 times. On the 6th, it became stuck. :).

It takes time, I guess, but man I hate to wait!!

The 00z Euro did have a nice off-run that dropped a fair amount of snow in GSO on April 8th-10th, but there was zero (absolutely zero) ensemble support and it appears that pipedream has sailed.

lol...I didn't buy the last system, not once, so even if this showed consistently the fact that it's 80 or above for 4 days straight at RDU should hint towards a 0.0000000001% chance of snow this month.
