In a lull-- grabbed a quick half inch. Radar trends confirm the RUC/HRRR were more correct. Best snows likely end up just north of me. We should get 1-3, but just south with NOT get much.
So, somewhere between LYH and CHO will be the jackpot east of the Blue RIdge.

Lull here- Radar is blotchy, but some heavier bursts. Had some virga after that big burst so worried we dried out aloft.

Just measured 2" on the back deck. 30 degrees. Roads covered. HRRR seems right on the button again.

4.2" of snow ...fell between 2:30 - 6:30 AM according to my weather cam because I missed it. Totally unexpected...biggest snow of the season for me. I didn't know it had snowed until the automatic phone call form the school woke us up about a 2 hr delay. I looked out and went back to bed because it didn't look like much at first. The street just had a slushy inch so I thought it was just a dusting. Only cold surfaces have the full 4"...the street and ground are still pretty warm.
