LYH is a 30 year of just under 18 inches. That's been few and far between for a while.

We should just turn this into the OBS thread.

Down to 31 here, and the radar is looking pretty decent right now.

In a lull-- grabbed a quick half inch. Radar trends confirm the RUC/HRRR were more correct. Best snows likely end up just north of me. We should get 1-3, but just south with NOT get much.

So, somewhere between LYH and CHO will be the jackpot east of the Blue RIdge.

Lull here- Radar is blotchy, but some heavier bursts. Had some virga after that big burst so worried we dried out aloft.

4.2" of snow ...fell between 2:30 - 6:30 AM according to my weather cam because I missed it. Totally unexpected...biggest snow of the season for me. I didn't know it had snowed until the automatic phone call form the school woke us up about a 2 hr delay. I looked out and went back to bed because it didn't look like much at first. The street just had a slushy inch so I thought it was just a dusting. Only cold surfaces have the full 4"...the street and ground are still pretty warm.

0.26" water equivalent from my CoCoRAHS gauge
