I figured we could use a thread for this, so they don't get lost in the main thread.

I don't have any yet, but I'll upload some at the end of the storm or maybe later if I get under some good snow rates.

What's the purpose of this thread? We have no photos to post. ;) We've been told for days now that we'd receive "virtually nothing in NC as far as accumulating snow" and "this is a VA accumulating storm."

:snowing:

But seriously, I posted a photo in the obs thread earlier, but I've added a good bit of snow since then. The past hour has been great! In the morning, I might to try to get a sunlit photo.

About 1.5" on the ground when I took these at around 9:30 PM. Just various photos from around the house.

Yeah, Durham PD. Two officers taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wow I am glad there were no serious injuries.

Here is my video best watched in 1080 to really see the flakes:

Just beautiful eyewall. I would love to see it snow like that for about 10 or 12 hours straight. Unfortunately it looks like on video is the only way I will see it this winter. Thanks

You have a knack for catching video of these high rate snows. Awesome video for sure!

I think I should have just muted all the noise in the video, haha. In my defense, we got a big snowstorm on December 19th, 2009. Maybe that's what I was referring to?

And LOL at the circumference of my house. :D

I wish I would have taken the video a couple hours earlier when we had better rates, but I didn't think to do it until then.

If there is a deformation band I will find it! :) I know have radar on a smartphone in the car which helps a lot as well in chasing. The benefit of this one was it hit right at home.

Funny thing is, my gf wouldn't let me drive! :lmao: She's from northern WV so she's used to driving in snow.
